For those of you who visited us at Return to the Green in Greenville, this drink will seem very familiar.
You will need:
The cream:
1 cup heavy whipping cream
2 tablespoons Irish Cream syrup (such as
SweetBird)
The drink:
1 cup
French Pressed Coffee (darker roasts fair better here) OR drip coffee if you do not have a press
2 teaspoons light brown sugar OR 2 teaspoons sugar and 1 teaspoon molasses
1 tablespoon flavored syrup (Irish Cream is recommended)
1 cup hot water
1 mug (preferably Irish style!)
Extras:
Green food dye

Directions
Start by brewing your coffee in the press or drip machine (see
Coffee Tips for help), and pour the hot water into your mug. While the coffee is brewing, in a mixing bowl, combine the heavy whipping cream and Irish Cream syrup. Using a mixer (either hand or stand), beat until the cream just starts to thicken.
Once the coffee is done brewing, empty the hot water from your mug and put your 1 tablespoon of flavored syrup in the mug. Pour in the coffee and brown sugar, stir to dissolve the brown sugar. Lastly, carefully add the whipped cream to the top of drink, and enjoy!
